Just want to ask rather anyone had try upload subtitle on their DLP system's server. My booth get the server load the film in one cable and subtitle in another. Plus we need open the side door to access the cable. Are all server with these stupid design?

Plus sorry still fresh and don't know the rule here. [Smile]

What brand of server? What Digital Cinema operating system? "DLP" refers to the projector only.

Barco DP-100 with GDC server, another stupid things is they provide us a dolby DMA-8 to out CP650 with AES input, so we bypass the direct input by an additional processor..... we had use the AES before.

The interesting question is, what is at the other end of the cable? A satellite receiver system? Fiberoptic network? How do you actually get the content into the theater? Does the server incorporate the subtitles into the video stream or are they projected on the screen with a different projection device? Is the subtitling done via a text file with timing info or with text bitmaps?

We had two cable, one USB, one firewire, firewire for film and usb for other, they project with the same projector. I just don't why they cannot load all the things in one hd, or same cable (firewire?), or even make a connector on the main panel.
