I would be interested to hear comments from others who have seen this in DLP.

One thing I have been wondering about the DLP projector is why it is mounted at an angle? Is this to facilitate servicing or something? In keeping up with a Christie tradition.............

The mounting angle of the DLP is simply to accommodate the off-center projector mounting arm that's standard in our industry, and get the optical system in line with the console's. I think it does make the system easier to work on with the "hood off" as well. There's quite a bit of light bending going on in there.
