We are having trouble with the new TI "Birth of a Image" snipe. Our equipment is Dolby DSS and DSP, Barco DP-2000. When it came in the Show Manager said it was corrupted (red X next to it). So I injested it anyway and this is what happened, on both 2D and 3D version the DSP said corrupted tracks on the screen while it was playing. 2D I had no sound or picture when played, and 3D no sound but I had picture.

I called Technicolor and they sent out a new "Trail Mix" but I had the same results. I have not heard of anyone having this problem with it.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Convert to film...I've never had a corrupted snipe with film. [Big Grin]

Did you get them on DVD? Or on a Hard Drive? Did other content load ok... if other content did load ok then it probably IS corrupt. If you received it on a HD then it's possible the master file is corrupt. Wait till it shows up on another movied HD to get it. Or get it from another known good source at another cinema via one of your hot pluggable CRU hard drives. They are not write protected nor are they usually so full that you can't squeeze a few things on there to move them around.

P.S. Brad, There has been many, many reels of defective film print over the years, trailers included. The last defective trailer I saw only had half of the SRD track printed on.

Thanks Mark. I got them on a HD in a trail mix nothing else was corrupt and when I asked Technicolor about they sent me a new drive and I had the same problem. I will update everyone I figure it out.

I suspect that Technicolor's file they copy from onto their distribution HD's is corrupt. All the theaters I service DLP at got DVD's with the logo straight from T.I., don't know why you didn't but you might request the logos from another source. If Brad has anough bandwidth here perhaps he would be willing to allow them to be posted for download. I believe they </= 1gb in size.
