Hello All. I've just had out first digital projector installed. Has anyone had any bother with it? On occasion when running a 3D film the picture just starts flashing red and green then shuts down - I then have to reboot the whole thing. And, it randomly closes the douser. It also completely mucks up the cinemation.

At the moment we still have to run ads and trailers on the vic5, that shuts down on a pulse and then you start the digital. I suspect its all teething problems but no-one knows whats wrong with it - its completely random.

I wonder if a noise pule fomr the film projectors xenon ignitor is mucking up the digital projector....? Do you have UPSs on the digital gear?

we have also just installed a NEC 1600 into one of our cinemas. I also had an issue with 3D coming up the same on screen.

We set macros on the NEC as follows #1 W/S flat 2d # 2 c/s 2d #3 c/s 3d and #4 w/s 3D , these were all "tuned in" with lens light output and focus etc , I ran a test Ice age with the wrong macro selected ie a 2d macro this brought up an image as you are getting , it could well be a projector setting not right.
