I am wondering if it is possible to find out what theaters are currently using for preview and intermission projectors? Examples include the Christie Road Runners.

Sanyo beats them all. Their line is hell of a pre - e cinema projectors.

I see a lot of PLV-70s and PLV-WF10s in the field. They are now replaced by PLV-80s and PLV-WF20s, respectively.

I wouldn't call them excellent, but highdef quality is there.

250Watt bulb is nowhere near the brightness of a 4k xenon, and this is an ongoing problem for cineplex sites that use the preshow infocus projectors for their alternative programming content, specifically the MET opera.

But for preshow adverts, does the job [Smile]

They should not be using the 777 for anything other than preshow junk unless it is a very small screen!

On a small screen the Kodak modified 777 is a bargain at well under 10 grand!

Actually they set the alternative programming on our two biggest screens 440seaters and the lens fits the entire screen.
and the light intensity is crap as you would imagine.
Then charge 26 bucks for a seat. not worth it, and then we get complaints that there’s no surround sound to an OPERA performance, wow amazing the headaches we have. [Mad]

I agree, we shouldn’t be using these for anything other than adverts. In our smaller rooms, the lenses are a bit smaller and don’t take up the entire screen at full zoom

the 777's were around 15 grand when they first came out, not even 2 grand now to buy if im not mistaken.
