I'm using CP200-ZX Digital Projector with DSS200 dolby server.I'm abit confused when i create the playlist for shows. The Dolby Show Player has alot of Cue's and i'm not sure which is correct cue's that i'm suspose to put in the playlist.Is there a manual for the dolby show player. Please advice. Tq

The "cues" are generally populated based on the equipment it is connected to.

There are tabs to differentiate the different cues between sound, projector, lights and "other" That should be a clue as to what cue to use.

You will almost always have multiple cues at the same time too (some for picture, some for sound).

A typical show start will either strike the lamp...and if you do indeed strike your lamp each time, you should have about 15-seconds of black at the beginning to allow it to come on and also execute a channel command (those are labeled by your projector installer...I tend to keep it simple and call them "2D FLAT, 2D SCOPE, 3D FLAT, 3D SCOPE, or other descriptive, yet short names). Then about 5 or so seconds before you show the image, get your lights coming down and finally, when the first non-black "clip" starts, switch your sound and open your douser with those cues.

As for manuals...the player ships with a DVD that has the manual on it...there are also help buttons on every page to help guide you.

What doesn't help is that not every installer 'prunes' un necessary cue and macros from the projector. So poor old operator has the dozen or so cues he/she needs and another 40 odd of gibberish.

So, there IS a manual for the Dolby Server, but only on the DVD that comes with the server?

Is it allowed to load it up somewhere - e.g. on film-tech.com ?

It is an installer's manual, not an operation manual (how to connect it and such.). One thing that should be on hand that is in the installers manual is the procedure for swapping Raid drives or merely re-commissioning them.

I, for one, DO remove the excess jibberish so only the cues that pertain to the installation show.

If you don't remove all the unwanted cueing info it makes setting up shows a real pain in the ass! It's really something that has to be done.
