Hi all

I am loosing sound for about 10 seconds in Alice in wonderland 3D digital, It is dropping out at the scene where alice falls down the rabbit hole.

Curious if anyone else has this glitch or if it was just on my hard drive or if it is my new Qube trying me out again.

I don't think it is a glitch. I noticed it when we proofed ours. To me it sounds as if it fades out very quickly. I think they just goofed when mastering the sound.

It wasn't doing this at a theater where I just tuned the B chain... listened to quite a bit of the movie afterwards. The dialog in the movie seems to be cut off below a certain frequency though... say below 80 hz there is very little from the dialog. The previews actually sounded better then Alice did.

I saw this yesterday at the National Amusemnts "City Center Cinema De-Lux" 15 in White Plains, NY. It played in house 5 which is Real-D. I am not sure what kind of projector they are using.

Anyways, I did not notice any sound glitch though I agree with Mark the trailers sounded better than the feature.

As a side note this is the first feature I have watched in Real D and it seemed very dim to me with the glasses on. I also had a lot of trouble watching it because it made my eyes hurt. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? When DLP first came out we got a barco at the Loews Boston Common and I had trouble watching features on that because it hurt my eyes but I have not experienced that since then. I can watch any source material on the NEC-1600C's we have here without any eye pain?????

Has it been that way for every digital 3d movie?
There is a condition where some people cannot see 3D and others get terrible headaches when they try to, I have a friend who cannot watch 3D without getting headaches.

As for the sound glitch, didn't notice it on the barco or the sony we have

Well this is the first digital 3d feature i have seen and this is going to show my age a lot here but I have never seen a 3d feature on film. I have seen short stuff like rides at Disney but never a full feature. So you are saying it could be 3d in general and have nothing to do with the digital. Very interesting! [beer]

Even though I havn't had a problem with other movies shown by RealD in the past, Alice gave me a headache. Does anyone notice a difference in how their eyes react to animated 3D as supposed to live action? I don't take live action 3D very well.
