Is there any company making policy trailers in digital format for theaters that aren't chains?

Cinema Concepts used to make some really nice film stuff, and their studio reel on their website is really nice, but apparently they don't do anything "generic" any more...too bad, they do some nice work.

Pike Productions has a series available but I'd like to look at any other alternatives (if there are any). Anybody know of anything?

Don't know of any others. That cell phone snipe has been fairly effective. We use it mainly on PG and higher rated films, but it was accidentally programmed on Toy Story 3 and surprisingly no one came out to complain.

Here we don't call it the 'Concession Stand', but instead they are known as 'The Candy Bar'. Any chance you could make a version with that text? Only other suggestion would be a 'please deposit all litter in the bins provided as you leave the cinema'.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think the NO TEXTING one is a must. We'll probably have a few of those up in the next month or so. That's my biggest pet peeve when I go to the movies. We'll get a litter one put together as well. John, the "Candy Bar" one made me chuckle. Is that the term used though out AU, or is it the term you use at your theatres? If it's a common name, I suppose we'd consider it. We do have quite a few users in AU.

Shawn - maybe you could incorporate a "don't be rude" kind of message into a cell-phone clip. I think a lot of people today just don't realize that cellphone use in a theatre is rude and bothers other people.

Or another angle -- how about a message such as "You paid to see the movie...don't let your phone spoil it!" etc.

The Sprint ad with the guy getting interrupted by something like High School Musical, a car chase and being dragged into a spaceship was available in 3D. I don't know if the one with the woman almost stepping into a gunfight is 3D, but it probably is.

I believe there's black video provided on every Technicolor TrailMix drive out there... Not sure about Cinedigm.

Right, the Trail Mix drives have black clips in 1, 5 and 10-second lengths. THey are called "Black MOS." (Assumedly that stands for Moment Of Silence. I would have preferred they call it "black leader" myself! [Smile]

MOS is production lingo for "without sound." The origin of this is a point of debate, but the meaning is well known.

I downloaded a few of the Cinetize clips and am happily using them as we speak. And, will strongly consider a "personalized" version of at least one of them when clear faves emerge. Way to go, Cinetize!

Shawn - maybe you could work with Dolby to acquire their old sound logos, since they don't seem to be interested in them any more. Even after 2 months I still have people saying they miss the "Train" logo we used to play before every movie.

...or some of the old logos from Cinema Concepts. I would love to get a digital version of their "Christmas Lights" one -- we've used that for the past 20 or more Christmases so I'm kind of bummed that we won't be able to use it this year. (Apparently they have gotten completely out of the business of policy trailers for non-chains...I suppose there wasn't enough business in that department.)
