Hello everybody,

I would like to remove a DLP engine on a Barco DP2K15C in order to take some high resolution pictures of the system. It's for this website dedicated to digital cinema : manice More precisely, it's for the part dedicated to operators : manice

The projector is in a projectionnist's school so i have plenty of time.

My questions are :

- To remove the engine, i have to "unplug" (sorry if this word is not appropriate) the cooling liquid system. Is there any trap or something special to know here ?

- Do i have to remove the lens first ?

- How many screws i have to unscrew ?

- To "plug" again the liquid cooling system to the engine, is there a risk to do a bad operation (liquid leaks on the engine) ?

- In addition to the Key Pad code i have to enter, is there a protocol to do so the projector works properly after replacing the engine ? I mean, with D Cine Communicator, do i have to do a special operation ?

If it's too complex, i won't do it that's why i want to gather informations thirst. Yet, three years ago, i saw a technician replacing a DLP engine on a DP 3000. I was surprised because it seemed to be quick and not too impossible to do for a trained operator.

It is very EZ to remove. But i would not do it just to take a pictures of it. Becouse if some thing gos wrong your looking at 20 grand to replace it. And that would be really expensive picture.
