Hi Everyone,

Is ther a % full level you shouldn't exceed on the DOREMI server. I currently have 7 features (incl Carmen 222G) plus ads/trailers for a 69% capacity.

Kind Regards,

David

I don't think there's a maximum. You need enough space for new content of course, and there's no reason to keep content that you won't play again. Do you really run 7 features?

DOREMI servers are Linux boxes, right? If so, filling up the filesystem to the brim is not recommended - Linux gets quite grumpy when it wants to write something to disc and can't do it.

I'd leave at least 3-5 GB of storage space free at all times - which is something like less than 1% of the total, given the current HD capacities. So maybe having at least 1% free space at all times would be a good rule of thumb?

I've seen linux servers keep on running that literally had 0 bytes of disk space left and had no problem keeping on running when it tried writing to disk and found no space left.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the info.

Dave, not usually but we have Gnomeo in 2D & 3D (sat/Sun), King's Speech, Black Swan, Carmen 3D (Sun), Conviction, True Grit.

Cheers,

David.

Doremi's are indeed Linux, but the system runs of a flash card, the HD's are only for content, so it should be no problem so fill it up completely.
