Tonight during our seven o'clock set of movies our touch panel on the back of our christie Cp2220 went black. When it shut down the lamp was still lit, the projector was still powered on, and the shutter was open. The channel was also set to the appropriate Dcinema channel. After the show was over my projectionist was advised to turn off the breaker for just the projector. After he turned the breaker back on, the TPC unit on the back of our machine was still black. It is not turning back on so I am assuming it is dead.
I was told there is a way to turn turn the machine on, strike the lamp, and open the shutter without the TPC unit on the back of the projector being connected. Right now my 3 lights on the back of the machine are lit green on the bottom and the top one is flashing red every few seconds.
Any help would be greatly appreciated in this stressful situation..

Sounds like you need to reboot the server part of the system .. it has froze up on you.
Been there and done that a few times as well ..
Good luck

Use VNC to remote into the projector from a computer on the same subnet. I can't give you the password here publicly, but your technician responsible for your theater's uptime can give it to you over the phone.
