Hi again
we have above the entrances a screen with a traffic light to tell patrons when they can enter (green), the preshow started (orange) and the movie is running resp. the ushers are cleaning (red). Problem is, the system is controlled by the showtimes and not the actual show. We would have solved this by sending a signal over IP to the trafficlightsystem
but
since we're using Ymagis-TMS the Servers' network is completely seperated from the rest of the cinema.
Is there interface which could convert the signals sent over the RS-232 of the Doremi into an IP-Signal?

I think those devices are a bit expensive for the small result we're gonna have. I did some research and found interfaces at 20 bucks that convert rs-232 to rs-485, which you can simply daisychain with simple 2 wires.
Is communication between the doremi and pc over serial doable?

Yes, the Doremi has serial automation. Use the Mainboards COM Port on the rear.
