Hello,

if you have the choise on a serie 1 projector to
resize to do triple flash 3D or go to
full DMD dual flash what would you chose?

What do you prefer? More light or more fluent 3D?
I prefer the gain in light but what do you guys think of this?

I once tried the dual flash on a Barco, triple flash capable, and it was noticeably worse. I wouldn't think of it for a second, even though rescaling picture is bad as well.

Doesn't 5:2 also work? It has been a while since I've played with EFIB based projectors for 3D

5:2 ? Did not even know that that was an option. Can you explain what that means?
And yes it are "old" projectors and it is not a great situation.
But we cannot replace all our gear every 2 year.

5:2 is one of the flash modes...quite like 3:2 pull down. It is a least worth a shot trying...otherwise, you are likely going to have to settle for 4:2 since I'm not sure the industry makes 1920 versions of the movie anymore to support older series 1 machines.

Most of our older series 1 systems have found there way into smaller theatres now...allowing newer projectors to be in the larger/3D theatres.
