I would first like to thank everyone on this forum as I have learned a lot about Dcinema here!

I am getting conflicting information on the proper channel settings when using Blu-ray. I currently use:

Data Format: RGB 4:4:4 8 bits
Target Color: Rec. 709
Color Space: RGB 10bit 64-940
Gamma: Gamma 2.2

When using these settings with a calibration disc everything appears correct, but are these the right settings? It has been suggested I use others, but every time they are different. If it helps we are using HDMI High Speed link to a Gefen Scaler II.

I would be curious to hear the "official" answer, but here is what I used with the Christie Series II models:

input: DVI-B (may vary by machine)
data format: RGB 4:4:4 8-bits
source file: auto square pixels
measured color: onsite
target color: rec 709
color space: Unity RGB
gamma: NTSC_Enhanced
LUT-CLUT: Linear 9x9x9
"auto scan type detection" checked
"enable 3d" unchecked

Picture quality with these settings was fine. This was with an HDMI->DVI cable run directly from the player to the projector.

These were the initial settings we used, but when we calibrated with a Blu-ray test disc, we found that with unity RGB the colors became less saturated.

I hope there really is an official answer!

Here is your official answer:

Blu Ray and HDMI are consumer-grade items and the colors will NEVER, EVER be consistent.

NTSC has been know for many decades as "Never The Same Color".
