I know some of you have or had these guys...

When we boot up and use either the DoReMi or DC20 we get pink fuzz on the screen. It appears to be a cinelink issue.

If i turn off the NEC1600C, re-seat the TI card, and fire it back up, everything runs beautifully...

If this is a problem with the TI card, how can re-seating it solve the issue? If it isn't, I'm completely stumped as to what it is.

Initially we though it was the Media card int he server...

Next time, pull the card and clean the contacts. Maybe this is all what you need to do.

It's a common for cards to get funky simply due to dirty contacts on the board and the slot.

Check the HD-SDI cables, just in case. Had a similar problem with a 1600C, turned out one of the cables had a faulty connector.

I've seen this 'Cinelink snow' with Doremi servers, and I think both NEC and Christie Series 1 projectors, when the projector is booted up in the morning.

Seems to go away if you try running some unencrypted content.

I think it may depend which Doremi firmware you're running, as I haven't seen it for a while.

We are still fighting with it. It can't be the SDI cables, as content plays. On boot we still need to re-seat the TI card to get rid of the snow. I'll try the unencyrpted content idea tonight though.

Also - in looking at the logs, I noticed that we had a chassis intrusion error begin on the day this all began. According to NEC this should go away when you log in to the projector, and it isn't. I've had the sides off since, and it still isn't going away. I'm guessing it's a faulty switch, but do you think this could affect anything?
