Might interest those making their own DCP's. The plugin works in Adobe CS suite and outputs your footage to a JPEG2000 Tiff sequence in the XYZ colour space. Faster then the OpenDCP convertor, though you still need to use OpenDCP to make the DCP "package".

If you use this plug in you should note the CS versions that it has been paired with (Adobe is now up to CS6):

System Requirements
Photoshop CS3
After Effects CS3
Premiere Pro CS5

If you want your own headers, institutionals, etc. it is now becoming very easy; add 5.1 sound that too.

Absolutely no clue whatsoever how to install these on a Mac. The Read Me cites directories that don't exist. There is no plug-in folder in the common folder, for example. There is a plug-in folder inside Photoshop but there are two folders inside that and the Read Me does not specify where they should go. Lazy asses should have just built an installer. Not like I'd ever have a reason to use this, though.

Joe after you download and open the .dmg file you should get three folders, one for After effects, one for Photoshop, one for Premiere. In each of those folders is the plugin. Drop the plugin into the plugin folders in each of your CS apps and you should be good to go. I have a Mac and it works.

Oh I believe the plugin is based on the Kakadu encoder. Which is super fast but costs a bundle. Info here

Paul, Premiere Pro does not have a Plug-ins folder.

Fnord's plugin is very useful for anyone using AE. It does use the commercial Kakadu encoder, so it will have a speed advantage over OpenDCP's encoder. It relies on AE to perform the XYZ conversion, so be sure to select the right output profile in AE.

Not on the Mac. It looks like the folder is inside the application itself, gotta "show package contents" and snoop around inside what makes up the actual executable app. In there is a plug ins folder. I dropped it there but have not used it yet.

I fully expect to import a video file and then export a full DCP that will play on all digital cinemas.
