Hello everybody,

My question is : does Christie marriage works like Barco ? On Barco, you have to perform marriage only if you remove boards like ICP or LD. Otherwise, you can clear the security tamper door event with "End service door tamper" in the communicator software.

Is it the same for Christie ? Or if you use the High Security Key, you have to perform marriage automatically ?

Christie's security error occurs anytime the locking plate is removed (have to have a key to open the cover to gain access to the release lever for the locking plate).

Once triggered, you have to have the marriage password to login and then be able to initiate the marriage and press the marriage button within 30-seconds of initiating the marriage.

Note, it is a DCI requirement that such security breaches (ICP removed...etc) require a physical presence to clear the error...they can't be done remotely). For Barco, it is the Dallas Key, for Christie, it is the marriage button with a password, for NEC it is a password that can only be inputted on the keypad (though one has to also clear the error within the DCC with a special password too). They all do it differently but they all have an element of someone being present to clear the red tail lights.

Thanks for your answer. Does that mean that you can't remove the light engine cover to see the DLP engine without performing marriage ? On serie 1, it's much less secure.......
