hi , I'm in a bit of trouble. I'm going to change the bulb in a barco projector, but i can't remember which brass adapter to use. the new bulb is an Osram 6500. The last bulb was an Ushiro and that uses another adapter. My alzheimer is getting the better of me :-)the adapters all have number engraved in them. if some one could help me, please

Assuming it's an "XL" lamphouse and the information I have on the install manual of the 32B are correct for your model, for a 6.5 Osram you need R8436081K cathode adaptor and R864132K Anode adaptation bushing.

I reckon the XL lamphouse is the same since the DP90, but the above information may or may not be good for you.

Oh yes. I forgot to write that the Barco model in question is a DP4K 32B.
thank you for your reply. I'll look for the correct one in the small bag of adapters that came with the projector.

Well in that case it should be correct. The 6.5kW lamp can only be installed in the XL lamphouse.

Thank you, Marco. That was of great help to me. I found the right adapter and tomorrow i'll find the time to change the bulb. Thank you again.

make sure you find the little sleeve adapter for the anode end, the lamp pin is much smaller than the UV plate anode support: you can "make it work" in desperation without the adapter but the lamp Y adjuster is way off centre for peak brightness, and the lamp tends to move around as it heats up, driving the CLO system a bit mental.

Dave, I have the little ring adapter in place. That was the easy part. I confused myself with the many brass adapters for the other end [Smile] Thanks to this wonderful forum it took less than 1 hour to get a reply.
