Hi guys,

Can someone tell me can i use dry contacts from my fire alarm system to trigger jnior digital input (no voltage is present on the line)?

get the + from the power supply of the Jnior itself, route it through your fire alarm relais and then into the Digital Input.

Make sure your fire relais can cope with the voltage (9V? can't remember).

Relays at fire protection system module are electrically separated (it is Notifier M 701 module) so there is no problem to use + from jnior power supply. I just didn't knew if it is possible to feed 12 VAC voltage to the DIN of jnior (i didn't found it in jnior documentation).

the manual says 0-30V, with 2-30V considered "high".

I tried with dry contacts but without success. Tomorrow in the morning i will try what you said and give you feedback here if it was successful so others can see this too.

The Jnior power supply is 12VDC, but the inputs only work with one voltage polarity. The DC connector on the Jnior has extra terminals to connect your new wires to. Connect the "-" power directly to the lower of the two Jnior input channel terminals. Connect "+" to your normally open/close for alarm fire relay contact and bring back the other relay contact to the upper terminal on the Jnior input channel.
You can test polarity to be sure, when you activate an input its LED lights up.

I solved this with one relay and 1k resistor to accommodate current to GPI of Doremi. It works fine and it is much faster then solution with jnior.
