At an installation a while back I installed a Master Image Wave3D unit. I found the 3D very good. It looked as clear as Dolby's 3D, but uses the regular disposable MI glasses. I really liked it. It has what looks like a polorizer, however, I did not see an strobe in the image reflection to indicate that it was polorizing. According to MI web site it is a "Passive LC polarization", so it must be polorizing it. Anyone else had a look at it, or know any info on it, like light loss?

Hi All

Recently i had installed 1 unit of Master Image Wave 3D to DSS200 n Christie projector. I manage to setup the picture alignment n 3D. The problem is automation not done yet because i dont know how to connect it via etherne.

Can anyone help me how the command for the automation as now i need to switch on and off the Master image manually

Why on earth would you want to switch it manually?

I install MI Wave set to automate from projector sync. In other words, the projector is in 3D -> the MI Wave moves into position and starts. Projector in 2D -> MI Wave moves out of position and stops.

Joe, you can just see an optical 'twitch' with glasses when the screen starts polarising. This is one of the tests the MI guys use to determine if it's working at all when an installer is having problems.

There is a little bit of ghosting as compared to the MasterImage Clarity system, but it is a good economical solution and better than the other 3D alternatives.

What is nice is that this system works with anamorphics! (Must be post-anamorphic.)
