My searches came up empty on this.

How would I FTP content or keys into a DSS200? (Not that I'm likely to do the former but the latter could be handy.) Not so much mechanically...I can FTP into it easily enough and see zillions of files. If I FTP a key into it that mess, does it see it? Is it continually scanning to see what's there?

And likewise, if I were to FTP content in, how does it see it? Does it need to be verified? If there are multiple versions (caption, sound, etc.) is it up to me to make sure all the right files are transferred? Is it going to tell me when one is not?

There's probably some very basic thing I'm not aware of.

Yes, you can FTP keys and content that way. It will parse it as needed. Like magic!

You can even set up an "FTP" folder on your desktop and just "drop" the keys in there and they will zoom into the server.

Make sure your FTP program is set to transfer in BINARY mode, not Auto or ASCII. I highly recommend WinSCP version 4.19

Thanks, guys. Just sent a key downtown and it appears under existing licenses and turned my red padlock yellow so this will be handy from time to time. I wonder how it works...like maybe it monitors ftp or really does scan the contents constantly.
