Just ran a test screening of Frozen 3D tonight. Barco DP2K-10Sx with RealD XL on a Precision White screen.

There was no overall image flicker, so I'm not thinking bulb issue. It seemed to show up in very specific areas of the image, very specifically limited to regions with very deep saturated solid colors. It looked as though the colors were flickering in and out of blooming, if that makes sense. I'd say I noticed it in about 10% of the scenes of the movie, and it's probably not something we'd receive a complaint about from the average customer.

Still, any ideas? Has anyone noticed this on their print? Or possible projector issue?

I checked this out tonight, maybe I wasn't looking at the right scenes but I didn't see anything out of the ordinary. Checked it on a Sony SRX-320 w/ RealD & silver screen

Mark, how many 3D features have you seen on that Barco and RealD System so far?

Could be a bad 3D timing.

I QC'd parts of it last night and it looked fantastic, I thought.

The opening cartoon is terrific by the way.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll give it another look and if I continue to notice it, I'll have our tech take a look.

We've run a good amount of 3D so far (only other animated feature was Despicable Me 2), never noticed the issue until now however.
