We're looking at a new 4k projector and possibly the Christie CP4220, on Christies website they say you can get High Brightness or High Contrast lenses, would we be correct in assuming that the High Contrast lenses give the better picture and the High Brightness is just if you're struggling to get enough light?
How much less light do you get through the High Contrast lenses?
Our screen is only about 27ft so we shouldn't struggle at getting enough light on screen hopefully.

Considering 4K DMDs feature less contrast ratio, an HC lens would be nice if you don't have light problems.

The Christie calculator changes the requirements by 1/1500 lumens, so not a big deal.

Definitely go with the high contrast lenses. The difference is well worth the very tiny hit in light.

Barco does have them! Look in the "P" series projector line (post-production)...they will work in the "B" series projectors.

Are they Minolta lenses, or some random lens brand?
Are they the same or similar cost?
