The internet browser GUI is only available on the IMS to my knowledge. I bet they will be introducing it to the dcp2000 and the showvaults sometime in an update.

Someone told me he enabled it on the current version already, but I wouldn't suggest trying it before Doremi releases it officially.

i asked this because there is webserver already on all doremi's i have in my cinemas (and under my control) but i can't find how to enable it and which port to use for remote web access.

What servers do you have? Are you talking about the VNC client? or are you asking about control from a internet browser?

The VNC client does not come preloaded on the server from doremi. the VNC package must be installed on each server. Once it is installed you log into the server using a VNC viewer like realvnc or tightvnc using the servers IP address and the servers VNC password.

If it is through the internet browser you would just enter the projector IP address in the browsers address bar. But as of right now the web browser GUI is only available on the IMS1000 all others you must use VNC or Terminal/Putty

Apache webserver is running on Doremi servers. I have never found out why or what it's for: trying to connect isn't very useful, it just drops the default Apache 403 "Forbidden" error page. The Linux OS is pretty minimal and running a webserver is a security risk so presumably Doremi has it included for some reason.
The ICMP web interface is not available for non-ICMP systems yet, it may be included or installable in future?
VNC works OK but has a few issues with screen drawing. Flipping between screens will usually get a complete image.

DCP2000/DCP-2K4/ShowVault (all of them accros cinema chain).
VNC is not a problem (i am installing it during server setup) and bug Dave mentioned is not a big deal for me. I have asked about remote access thru the web browser because i saw that it has appache server running and some we scripts (they should run separate applets - cinelister, ingest manager, control panel applets, etc) but i can not find out how to access it or enable it .

I can ask my fellow how he enabled it, but I would suggest to wait for Doremi to announce it officially with the next release.

It actually was announced for 2.6.4, but as it is not in the documentation, I guess they pulled the plug again until the next release. Or maybe they do not have the documentation ready yet.

They are probably running the HTTP server for closed captions, if not more. The resource presentation list and timed text files are fetched using HTTP. Also, a lot of stuff uses a SOAP interface (XML over HTTP).

Yes, the MiniWebserver is for subtitles/closed captions.
The GUI Webserver is a different thing.
