Anything can fail. I had an SX-3000 die the other day too. But lets get back to the original point. You can use a GDC server running 7.8.3 to dump the logs from the enigma and clear the red light on the projector. it's as plain and simple as that. Once you update to DCI version 8.XX it does it automatically and always has. Irregardless of the bad enigma firmware GDC has never had this issue with servers running on Dual HDSDI because they've had the clear logs button since version 7.8

Sorry...had two CAT745s needing replacement this year...though both had odd failures (in warranty) in that there was unreliable shows...no flat out dead ones yet.
As for GDC and logs, I'm pretty sure I've had one of them get the "Almost full" and definitely the suddenly "logs full". Certainly, Dolby has more than their fair share of "almost" full complaints though.

Update....Christie has just issued 4.2.2 (2). This is the update that contains Enigma 1.8 (24).

Sorry but wasnt it the server duty to clear LD Logs?
As i know the server had to be updated to clear LD Logs on time.. So now CDS release software to clear LD Logs by itself?

sigh...
There is a lot of discussion on this forum about these LD-Log issues. While it is true that a general issue was that servers did not clear LD-Logs during special operational conditions (e.g. no Playlist eject between shows), all firmware versions prior to Enigma 1.8 contained an error that would inevitably lead to memory corruption and a 'bricked' enigma board. A lot of these boards had to be replaced because they couldn't be fixed in the field and TI was slow with a firmware update.
So, this is a combination error - LD-Log full can mean simply that the server didn't clear log memory. It could as well be that there is no memory left on the board because all of it has been marked as corrupt. Enigma 1.8 fixes the corruption issue and can even revive bricked enigma board. But the logs will still have to be read and cleared by the server. The Enigma log memory corruption issue threatens ALL DLP based series II projectors, unless they are operated with an IMB or IMS, since Enigma only is used/needed to play encrypted content over the traditional HD-SDI lines.
Enigma 1.8 is a TI software module, and since summer, all projector manufacturers incorporated it into their own software releases. Christie now was the last to include it.

One of the screening rooms I work at has an NEC 2000C projector,
and
Dolby DSS-200 serverthingy running 4.3.5 (13) and Show Manager Vers 4.3.3.7-g
>I'm getting red tail lights on the NEC and "WARNING: Security Log" on the LCD
I know I've got to clear out the security log in the DSS-200, and
I've done it before, but not at this location.
The procedure I have in my notes, matches the steps shown in
This Thread
..and which I've copied here:
Exit show manager (ctrl+alt+F2)
Log in as administrator
type the password
type ls scripts
type ./getAllProjectorLogs.sh localhost
If the server tells you to take a long lunch you´re on the right way.
Press alt+F8 to go back to show manager. Go to Control tab to follow the progress
But when I do the "./getAllProjectorLogs.sh localchost"
the server returns a "command not found" line.
I've also tried this procedure, which differs only on "cd scripts" line:
**NOTE** All commands from this point on are Case Sensitive
Username: administrator
Password: <Insert Password Here >
Type: cd scripts/, hit Enter
Type: ./getAllProjectorLogs.sh localhost, [hit ENTER]
with the same results.
Two questions:
1) What, if anything, am I doing wrong?
2) I know the projector will "gag" and not let me play encrypted
content once the log-thing is full. Any idea how long I"ve got?
>>>>>EDIT<<<<<<<
I think I may have found part of the answer further back in the thread
I referenced. In one post it says:
"You will need Dolby ver. 4.7.x.x or later to clear the logs."
Oh No! So how do I clear them if they've only got 4.3.5.3?
There's a full weekend of rentals & screenings ahead and I'd hate to see them go down.
(Even though I'm not working elsewhere till next week)

After a show, does the server hang a while with "downloading security logs"? If so you can try scheduling a trailer ever 10 minutes for a few hours, it downloads a few log entries after each showing.
I don't know offhand what solaria version used an LD version with the log corruption fixed, but earlier ones would slowly fill the storage with corrupt and disabled blocks. I think installing the latest package should (will?) stop that and recover the lost blocks.
I think there was a log download command in earlier software but I dont have my cheat sheets here with me.
