Hello

We will be moving our cinema screen a few feet forward in a few weeks to allow space for our Pantomime theatre set to be constructed.

We have a Christie CP2000 projector. I notice a knob under the lens for 'Focus'. This may be a silly question but when the screen moves forward physically, will it just as simple as using that knob to adjust the lens focus on screen in its new position?

Has anyone had to re-adjust their screen and focus before?

The theatre I work at is a Charity and so we are trying to complete this task in-house without any expensive call outs. So any hints and tips will be great [Smile]

Err... since when do you operate that projector, as it is already quite old? And you never adjusted focus since the installation? Did you receive ANY training on this system?

Is this a motorized lens, do you use different lens settings for flat or scope?

Depending on your throw, a few feet will not do much harm to your focus, as a matter of fact, it could actually run back into focus that way.

Adjustment is no big deal, and yes, you should be able to do it on your own.

I think the best solution is to LEAVE it. It won't look any worse - actually with a little luck it will look better.
