I've replaced a lamp, it works, but the projector still shows the old hours (only 900, sadly). How do I reset my hours for this new bulb?

On the keypad/display, go to:

- Configuration -> Reset -> Lamp Usage ->Left/Right for lamp selection -> down to reset counter

BTW - Google will let you find user and installation manual for the NC900 ;-)

Frank...because Carsten didn't state it and your question asked it... you CAN'T use DCC to reset an NC900C's lamps...you have to use the procedure that he described.

Thanks Carsten and Steve - that worked!

I think I did do it through the DCC with a guy from Strong on the phone about a half a year ago. Strangely, he told me specifically NOT to do it through the projector keypad! I haven't a clue how we did it, as it took us around 15 minutes, with us taking stab after stab at it until it finally worked.

I just remoted in to one and looked. There are no reset button(s) for the lamps in a NC-900 that are even present in DCC. Note that all other NEC projectors have a setup button in DCC under the lamp tab where this reset resides. That setup button is not present under the lamp tab in the NC-900 when connected to DCC.

And, annoyingly, the lamp hours are located in a different place in DCC for the 900C as well. [Mad]

Did someone check wether it's possible through the projectors local web interface?

I've checked...it is not possible.

You can only do it at the projector LCD screen via the menu!

You most definitely can reset each lamp's hours through the DCC software for an NC900. Select the SETUP tab, then RESET in the upper right corner...you can then choose which lamp to reset.

Simple.

Yet another thing in an obscure place, and a button that looks like something you shouldn't be pressing. Eat a dick, NEC.

I gotta look and see where they put this one!

Just where he said. Go to Setup. In the Upper-Right...all by its lonesome is the Reset button. It will let you reset lamp hours, filter hours, douser count and I think one other thing.

So WHY NEC? WHY make this one different?
