Sup guys,

Started learning DCP conversion with OpenDCP to save on costs. Used to outsource this for $300 per 30-seconds. [Eek!]

So far, I've got the basics figured out, but for some test conversions the color seems off. Any tips on how to render the source video to prevent this?

DCP-O-Matic is a much better option. Its has a easy to use GUI and is a lot faster.

Its also got a great community. I have used it a lot including 2 feature (A doc and a drama).

Another vote for DCP-o-Matic. Easier to learn than OpenDCP, simple to use, works great. And you can get any question answered within minutes, either by emailing mailing list or asking here.

You mean to convert Quicktime movies to DCP? Yes, frequently.

No specific issues with Quicktime files.
