I can't seem to find any info regarding this, but is the Weinstein Company releasing this in both 3D and 2D or just the latter? The one sheet that Arclight has up online makes no mention of it (albeit in very small lettering) - ???
Also in typical Weinstein fashion the movie has been cleaned up for it's US release by deleting some of the R-rated language for it's sanitized US PG rated version.

Yes, there is a 3D DCP for this title.

Is a great movie & we screened it in January this year (2105). It copped an M rating here in Australia for what was basically a PG great kids flick.
Reason was Judy Davis letting go a few "Fxxx" words as Spivet is being interviewed by a TV show host...very funny segment.
Was released in OZ in both 2D & 3D versions & as we were just dabbling with 3D at that point I checked out the trailer 3D version & it was VG...very natural looking & wavered as to whether I would do a 3D session.
But as only doing the one session with it decided to stick with just normal 2D......just to be on the safe side.
But would have been VG in 3D and later on had a a few requests to repeat it in 3D as obviously word of mouth had gotten about that in 3D it was great.

for a five day release in 100 theaters nationwide it grossed only $48,051 - wow - that's sad. If either screen here in the DC area had screened it in 3D my $14 would have been factored in - but... no dice.
