We have an NEC900C. When switching between flat and scope, not every time but a lot, we will just get a dim white projected on the screen until we manually press the format preset button again at which point the picture pops on instantaneously. Any thoughts on what the problem could be?

And while I'm here we are having a problem in another auditorium with a small spot on the picture where the color doesn't quite match up. It's most noticeable when projecting all black, where it comes off slightly blue. Any thoughts on what that could be?

I don't know about your first problem. Hopefully someone here will.

As for the second, we need to know what equipment is involved in order to even begin to diagnose the issue. Is it also an NC900C projector, or is it a different model?

Is the "dim white" a static of sorts? We get that slightly more than occasionally with our NECs on format changes.... I think its something to do with 3d?

I wouldn't call it static. Don't do 3D in there. And the second problem is also an NEC NC900C

It's the known grey issue, you need to upgrade your software. What version are you using?

'Grey pattern' issue. Introduced by a recent firmware update, and solved by the latest firmware update:

The other thing is probably a stuck pixel on the blue panel. Not nice, but it could be worse. Could also be a dust particle or something, one would need to take a more closer look to find out.
