Greetings.
A movie we produced the DCP for is being exhibited in a festival quite soon, and I have to generate all the KDMs for the show rooms, and for the first time I'm seeying a showroom with two media servers/blocks, they have two Doremi servers feeding an Imax Barco projector, both set up in a master/slave setup.
I've not encountered this setup before (I would also love it of someone could explain quickly how this twin setup is used). And I wonder wether I must create the KDM to the Master's certificate, The Slave's, or one KDM for each.
Thank you very much for any feedback.

someone more skilled than me will reply with an actual useful answer but I reckon you will have to create two KDMs, one for each mediablock. The mediablocks are linked and syncronised but each will do its own decoding.

I recommend calling Imax or, maybe better, David Keighley Productions (310-255-5500) as they do the digital distribution for Imax.
I believe the Imax digital system can play "normal" encrypted DCPs but I'm not sure. All systems I've come across seem to get all content from DKP boxed drives, features and trailers. I've never seen one integrated into a TMS, they run standalone.
As for "how it's done" in the projection system, I can't say. There's some image processing done to optimize image alignment - the unit takes half an hour first thing in the day projecting test patterns while its camera studies them.

That is true. IMAX are not general DCI/SMPTE compatible systems. You will also not find their Doremi E-SNs/certificates on Doremis site anyway. I talked to someone trying this a while ago, and at least he found out he could create 2D DCPs for the IMAX systems, but not 3D DCP. He didn't even get to the point of trying encrypted DCPs or generating KDMs.
There are now standards available for the creation of Multi-Device-Setups, read here:
http://isdcf.com/papers/ISDCF-Doc5-Guideline-formulations-Interop-and-SMPTE-KDMs.pdf
There are also a few general Doremi documents on how to understand dual projection setups (there are different ways to do this):
http://www.doremilabs.com/downloads/manuals/Dual_IMB_Installation_and_Configuration_Procedure_003389_v1_2.pdf
http://www.doremilabs.com/downloads/manuals/ShowVault_Chase_Mode_User_Manual_002220_v1_1.pdf
But as Dave says - don't try this at home, better call IMAX for advice.
