Hello,

Projector turn off because lamp unlit error. But lamp is still working. What is the reason? Please tell me. Thank you :-)

Please always specify the equipment you are interested in. That is, What brand and what model and if there is an error with a number, use the error number.

I'm really sorry, This is my first post.

Our projector is NC2000C and our lamp is ushio DXL-40SN/L
While our projector is playing, Projector turn off because "Lamp unlit" error. When we turn on projector and lamp after cooling, that's ok.
So, what was happening?

Maybe just a faulty lamp? First thing is to replace it and see what happens.

Lamp unlit signifies two possibilities. 1. A bad lamp. 2. A bad igniter. Always do #1 first. If the problem comes back then it's likely the igniter. If you have more than one NC-2000 at a site you can move the igniters between different projectors and see if the issue follows the igniter. Igniter is VERY easy to swap out.

A bad rectifier gives completely different errors and indications.

Marco, Likely not unless the igniter has experienced some high heat issue like a loose DC connection.
In an NEC projector a Lamp Unlit error can happen if then system tries to light the lamp but it doesn't light for any number of reasons. For instance, a lamp that has lot it's seal will also cause it.

Might be a good idea to have a visual look at the lamp.

Last year, one of my Barcos would fire off the lamp. Then, after a few seconds of what seemed like OK operation, the lamp would shut down and I'd get a red tail light. Light it again and the cycle would repeat.

Turned out I had a gassy bulb, though it wasn't obvious until I pulled the lamp out to have a look.

Dave,

The projector senses the lamp has turned off. If this is not followed by other errors (temperature, ballast, coolant) the first step is to replace the lamp as that should mean that the lamp has flamed off on its own.

Hello,

Thank you for all your posts. Now our projector has worked OK.
We reset "bulb alignment setting", solved the problems.
So We think that "Lamp unlit" error reason is incorrect location of the lamp.
