Not that I have witnessed this myself; but one of my sites has twice reported in the last week or so that when they start the ads or film that all the white parts of the image are yellow, resulting in having to stop the show and restart the projector and server to clear the issue. (Projector CP2000SB and Doremi DCP-2000 combo).

Unfortunately they have not had time to shut just one or the other down to try work out where the fault lies. I have in the past seen a green image or a pink hue once or twice, due to them setting the wrong macro (i.e. 3D when not 3D) but never yellow.

Anyone any thoughts on what might be the cause other than potentially a degraded lead or board somewhere in the light engine and one of the DMDs not working - which was my initial thought.

haven't seen that but they should quickly play some test patterns to assess if the projector is at fault.

Put up a white test pattern. if it is yellow there is a problem with the blue. Could be the cables from the FFIB to the blue formater board. I had to replace a FFIB board on a Christie M for the same problem. Could be light engine as well. first reseat the FFIB board and check the cables between the FFIB and formater boards. If they are the ribbon type reseat them.If rectangular multi pin connector be very careful with those. It is very easy to bend the pins. Best to just push them in and not remove and less replacing the board or light engine.

Thanks for your responses; yes it is my thoughts that it could be something like a bad connection on those ribbon leads, I think they are the small connectors from memory. This is something I would have to go visit the site and look at myself in the near future, but yes the test pattern idea is a good one to rule out the server. Thanks!
