If this isn't about the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I can barely wait at the idea of "feeling the bass" in my wrist.
I wonder which X-Treme system is going to hand these out instead of building the sound system properly.

WHAT. THE. FUCK?
They didn't explain how it works. I mean... they showed how the mechanism works, sure. But they never explained how having a vibrating slab of plastic on YOUR WRIST equates to the feeling of a subwoofer.
Nobody ever says "Hey remember at the theater when we were watching U-571 starring Bon Jovi and that submarine did that thing and shook the whole room?"
"Yeah dude I sure do remember that! My wrist was buzzing like crazy!"
"Yeah and after that we went to the Bon Jovi concert since they gave away free tickets with the movie and every time whatever random drummer he was using that night hit the kick my wrists were totally in the moment!"
"Yeah mine too broski! And then suddenly the entire audience forgot that Bon Jovi existed so he vanished into thin air which made that sweet dropping deep sound that every action trailer likes to use? I felt that in my chest it was so powerful! Haha just kidding I only felt it in my wrists because that's how humans hear bass."
"Sweet dude Imma donate over $300,000 to something that can give me that experience again."
"Did you ever notice how dumb we are?"

No! You don't wear it on your wrist! You're supposed to put it down your pants!

... only to resurface on DirecTV commercials.

This is the scary part:
quote:
$383,325
pledged of $56,785 goal
They've brought in almost six times their goal!?! With 20 days to go.

I.....actually want to try this thing now
It definitely seems like a scam and couldn't possibly work but I have to give credit to their marketing team. By the time I scrolled through to the bottom of the Kickstarter page I went from laughing at the absurdity of the concept to actually wanting to put one on to see what it actually does. There is no way I'm going to spend $100 or more for that privilege though.

Randy, I think you are confused by this product. You must be thinking of The Buttkicker.
(Full disclosure, I've experienced the buttkicker and it's so pathetically fake. Maybe, maybe, MAYBE if they were turned down to where you could just BARELY feel them in the seat on the biggest scenes it might be passable, but nobody installing these is willing to even try such a setting.)

Well there is after all a fetish for everything. Maybe the pledges intend on strapping them around their boys instead of their wrist.

Maybe this device should be provided for those folks that have those ANNOYING "Boom Cars"! Gets bad when you are trying to listen to your cars radio and have to try to dance along with someone elses.

I don't know why that guy is so popular. I find him annoying. "WOW! Oh WOW! AMAZING! WOW!"

Honestly I think a lot more people are more interested in strapping it around their dick or putting it on their vagina while crankin' up some Fiddy than wearing it on their wrist. And likely that's what it's intended for. This is all just a ruse.

Hey! Don't judge me!
*cough* I mean:
Yeah! Such dumb people! Ha! Ha!
Seriously, I'm not sure how functional that would be, since having used force feedback controllers didn't ever 'drag me into the moment' of the event in the game, I cannot see how this is going to be anything but another waste of money.

The Buttkicker website has a page called "Inside Buttkicker." I don't even want to speculate what that might be all about.
