Sent an email to Christie tech-support, waiting on reply.

We've been using an eSata CRU MoveDock with a Solaria One for more than a year. A few weeks ago the server quit recognizing it. We reverted back to an older CRU that was just USB. That works fine.

Ordered a new eSata CRU and got it this week. Still not recognized. Tried with both eSata and USB ports. On both eSata CRU's the green power light comes on and the amber light blinks once or twice, then nothing.

Single screen, so couldn't test on a different machine. We did plug the new CRU to a laptop via USB and it was recognized.

Has anyone run into this before? Is it an indication I maybe heading for another IMB failure?

Had this same issue with GDC SX-3000's and it turned out to be a firmware issue. They corrected it in the next firmware release. First discovered at Mike Blaksley's theater...

I guess you tried multiple disks and you got the same result? And what kind of disks did you try? Professional DCI releases from a major distributor, indie releases or both?

If you did not update the firmware on your Solaria One machine, I'm afraid it's a problem with the eSata port on the box.

So what is the warranty on the Christie IMB? I mean, do they ever have the nerve to charge for replacing it?

They haven't charged us anything, yet. We do have an extended warranty, so I guess it pays for itself. They only pay for ground shipping, so if you need it overnight from Canada that's going to cost.
