Since the last wave of our digital projectors is approaching 5 years old, I was planning to replace the button cell on the ICP board. Anything special I should do with doing this? I know the board will have to be remarried to the projector following the change.

The projectors in question are all NEC NC2000C non-imb.

NEC has a decent manual with pictures/photos for this, you find it through Google easily. And of course, make sure you have ne necessary tamper-clear and remarriage passwords at hand before you do this. The manual doesn't offer them.

Cell type is BR2330, source it from a solid supplier, check voltage before you put it in.

I'm already in good shape as far as the know how and having the appropriate passwords. And the batteries are on order. What I'm looking for is feedback on whether I can expect issues like having to reload a backup or reset the internal clock.

The ICP has a super capacitor and assuming its been run for a couple hours before hand you should be good for up to about ten minutes WITH the battery removed from the board. Too long or if the Super capacitor is iffy from age then you'll lose the certificates. Of course it only takes seconds to swap it out.
