Looks as if Dolby finally pulled the plug on www.doremilabs.com - including most of the information that was available there. For a while I was hopping Dolby would become as open with their own products as Doremi was on their support pages.
Now I guess it is only a matter of time until Dolby pulls the plug on support.doremitechno.org as well.

Do you have a Dolby Customer Portal ID?
I needed some Doremi info lasto nite and found all
the Doremi manuals & tech notes there.(or at least
everything I was looking for was over there now. )

I just checked, and the FTP server remains at ftp.doremilabs.com, and all the content is still there.

Cinemas/operators, at least outside of the US, are not granted access to the Dolby Portal, no matter wether for Dolby or Doremi equipment.

Exactly.

We regret to inform you that we cannot register you with a Dolby Customer Portal access. This Portal is primarily used by Dolby Authorized Dealers and trained Dolby Cinema installers/integrators. If you require technical assistance with any of the Dolby Cinema products, please contact your preferred Dolby Dealer and/or Installers.

I really, really hope they don't take the FTP or doremitechno offline, but I wouldn't be surprised if they do. I fear the day when I will be forced to ask my dealer for every single software update or bulletin. I know most exhibitors need that kind of help anyway, and some have NOC service agreements in place: I respect that, but as a small independent I'd like to keep being able to access my machines under my own responsibility.

FWIW...from what I can tell (since I don't have access to it), the "ftp.doremilabs.com" is better endowed than the us site.
