During our recent service I was having a chat with our engineer about colour space on our Barco 12c DVI ports

Currently all our macros that use the DVI port inputs are set to REC709.

Does the projector automatically calculate the correct colourspace adjustments (for other types than DCI P3) from the calibrated colours? Or does each colour space need separate calibration?

Also, For inputs from consumer DVI/HDMI equipment, and stuff like LANsat, I assume keeping the colourspace to REC709 is correct?

The MCGD calibrates the projector. The TCGD is the TARGET color space. With the two, you have the transfer function needed to get from one to the other.

REC 709 is the HDTV color space. It all depends on the source as to if it is appropriate.
