I have a few NC900c units that produce extremely low light when running on 1 lamp (lamp 1). But, the same projector puts out plenty of light when running on 1 lamp (lamp 2). Both bulbs have the same number of hours. The question: Is there some type of adjustment within the light path that needs to be addressed? I have many other NC900 units that do not have this problem.

If you have had any explosions on that side be sure to check the input end of the quartz rod to be sure its not chipped or damaged. That can cause it and I've heard of people having to replace those.

How can you get to that? Can it be examined by removing the bulb or does the top of the projector need to be removed? Also, is that something that is covered under warranty usually? What do those usually cost?

Yea, just yank the lamp out and look in with a flashlight. Might need a magnifier... old projection lens works good.

This is what you'll see in there... Check the light input window very carefully to make sure its not chipped.This one has had several explosions including one for yours truly while I was checking lens alignment....
