I just bought this Cinema Processor on ebay, never seen or heard of this brand before, is it any good or did I waste the little money that they were asking for? Any history?

I think they only labeled it 'cinema processor' in this auction (maybe because of the D25 analog outputs - Tascam pinout), the device itself was probably never branded or advertized for this specific use.
Although, as any multichannel AES-D/A converter, it can of course be used in a cinema. Just like Doremis AUD-D2A could be used in any musical/recording environment.
Apogee has a good reputation in the music/recording industry.

Thanks for your post Carsten, I had heard that they had a good reputation for da converters, but nothing about cinema use. Glad to hear you think it will work for cinema applications.
