Our company is just starting to enter the DCP/film distribution service. Our first project is an encrypted movie here in the Philippines which we managed to pull-off successfully, fortunately.

I did the KDMs from the main machine where we've rendered the DCP, a Mac that runs Davinci Resolve with the easyDCP plugin. Now the problem is I can't go home from work without the fear of cinemas contacting us late at night asking for more KDMs for new screenings of the movie.

I know this has something to do with DKDMs, my question is how best to approach this problem. Any other software/program we can use so that we can generate KDMs for the movie wherever we may be, at home or at work?

A DKDM is a distribution KDM, i.e. it enables DCP creation software to open an encrypted DCP for editing, modification or re-rendering.

I have only ever created encrypted DCPs and KDMs using DCP-o-Matic: if you copy the folder containing all the project files to another computer running the same version, you can open the project on that second machine and, if you like, make KDMs for the same DCP using it.

In your case it seems to me that you have two possible ways forward. 1 - as above, if Da Vinci Resolve + the Easy plugin allows it, or 2 - a remote desktop connection to your work machine of some description (e.g. a VNC server), that would allow you to connect to it from home, or anywhere else for that matter, to make new KDMs. I don't know how easy that would be to do using a Mac, because I do almost all my computing using either Windows or Ubuntu.

You could do this by creating a DKDM for DCP-o-matic, then using the DCP-o-matic KDM creator to make more KDMs.

In a nutshell:

Load DCP-o-matic, go to the Keys tab of Preferences, click "Export DCP decryption certificate..." and save the file somewhere.
Import that certificate into Resolve and make a KDM for it.
Load the DCP-o-matic KDM creator, click "Add DKDM..." and specify the KDM you just created.
Create cinemas and screens in the left-hand-side of the KDM creator, select some, enter your date range, select your DKDM and click "Make KDMs"

You already have a few great solutions. I will add Qubewire, still free. The process would be similar to issuing a DKDM for DCP-o-matic, but then it's web based, with the possibility of having several users within your company, managing rights, etc.
