Hello
I`m writing you today because I`m going to receive a 50 fps DCP and i am asking myself if I`m going be able to playback it. Actually I`m operating with Doremi ShowVault (IMB) and Dolby Dss220, but I had been before in problems with some DCP with bitrates over 250 Mbps
The projectors are all SERIES 2, so I think that everything is going to be Ok.
What would you say?
Thank!

Should work on both machines. Neither the Doremi IMB nor the Dolby CAT745 should have issues with data rates >250MBit/s. I think the Doremi IMB maxes out around 450MBit/s. For the CAT745, I have never seen an 'official' max decoder data rate, but it should cope with similar rates easily.
The Dolphin/HD-SDI boards did not like rates close to 250MBit/s.
As common 2k/3D uses 48fps at below 250MBit/s, it is probably not even necessary to go beyond that number for 50fps 2D.

The CAT745 should be good up to 500Mbit/s. 50fps is also listed as a supported frame rate for the CAT745 (and the CAT862, for that matter).

Theres a remark in the Dolby 4.9.096 release notes concerning 50fps, but I am not sure wether that actually affected 50fps playback in pre-4.9 versions:

Fixed an issue that incorrectly marked 50 fps as unsupported on the CAT745 media block. This frame rate is now correctly supported.
