Hey gang,

Had a bit of a funky issue tonight, where one of our CP2210's which is famous for getting Ballast Communication Errors and needing a power cycle just got another error, but this time image stayed on screen and was able to play regardless of the error. Gonna test through the whole film now and see if it runs all the way through. Any thoughts on why this happened? Thanks everyone!

Mostly caused when the serial connector corrodes. Reseating it resolves it for quite a while. But... it is not super easy to get at. With the lamp door open you can see the DB connector back under the fans. The holddown screws need to be loosened and the connector unplugged/plugged a few times. You can undo the two captive screws holding the fans in place and shift them up a bit.
