Hi all,

We have a Barco DP4K-23B that was sitting for approx. 6 months. Yesterday we tried to bring it back On and everything was Ok except for two ICP errors. We change it with two different brand new ICP boards and the same errors were displayed. We updated everything to the latest versions. When the ICP starts the update it fails to upload to the board. Tried the recovery process and fails at the stage 5 that is the upload.

What can be the problem?

What were the ICP errors? If the ICP clock battery dies you get an ICP error until you reset the clock to UTC. Then unless you replace that battery you get the same error after any powerdown.
I don't know if that error affects software installation or recovery.
If you are really doing ICP recovery, try the boot mode procedure in the recovery instructions. I've had ICPs that failed in normal mode and boot mode that succeeded the second try in boot mode.

Hi Dave,

One of the errors was Version Mismatch that usually I was able to clear it with a complete upgrade but this time I wasn't. The other error was a Read Satellite Error or something like that I have to double check.

For additional info, we placed the ICP on a DP2K-20c projector and didn't gave us any errors. That same ICP we put it on another DP4K projector and gave us the same problems as the original 4K projector. So I'm thinking that maybe its a problem with the 4K projectors? Please advise. Thanks

Is the ICP still under warranty? If so, just send it back to Barco and put a new ICP in.

The satellite processors are different for 2K and 4K. Note that early ICPs are not 4K compatible, I don't know how to tell them apart ... the shipping cartons from Barco for a new ICP have "4K" in the label description for the 4K capable ones.
Try installing ICP 4.5.454 using the ICP/Enigma control program. The system is supposed to check what satellites are present and install the modules for them, so an ICP from a 2K has to have the firmware reinstalled to work on a 4K.

Thanks Dave. I reset the ICP board and upgraded it and it worked.
