Hello,
a customer used to the well-known Christie IMB asked me how to make intermission during some screenings with his new GDC SR-1000.
I suggested him to add two times the same CPL in the playlist and trim them setting the end frame for the first part and the start frame for the sencond one.
Between the two parts I simply add a 5 seconds black dcp with an intermission start cue (with ligths on, "intermission" pattern, dowser close and pause) and an intermission end cue. The customer usually does a manual duration intermission, but in this way it's possible to switch to a fixed duration one, changing the duration of the black dcp (and using a cue with no pause).
The only issue I found is that the player does not update the clip total duration timecode so the projectionist sees only the current timecode, but has no reference to the end of the CPL.
Does anyone has experience with intermission and GDC SR-1000?
Thanks!

The usual way is to divide the screening up into multiple shows and either select them manually and then start, or use the auto start feature via the time.

Thanks!
I have to admit that it's easier than my solution.

Thats pretty much how I've always done it. Just place them on the scheduler with your desired intermission and it will all run automatically.

The GDC server does not have an automated intermission Function??

I just build it into the schedule.
