I do not get any sound of the HDMI on the IMS2000. Did I maybe forgot something?

Maybe your source is delivering raw PCM/bitstream audio like Dolby AC3 or dts?
The Doremi IMB/IMS can only 'decode' LPCM without any surround encoding. Some sources will only deliver stereo in that mode, while some can output discrete multichannel LPCM (up to 8ch, that is, up to 7.1).
Check the HDMI source manual for setup options!

Like Carsten already put it, your IMS will only handle Multi-LPCM streams correctly. If your playback device is pushing AC3, DTS or any of the other fancy proprietary sound formats out there, it's not going to work.
Often, it's easier to route the audio directly to your audio processor, bypassing the IMS entirely. Depending on what gear you have on either side, there are often multiple solutions for this.
