A theatre owner I know has two Altec 15" woofers for Voice of the Theatre loudspeakers. One is a 515 and the other is a 515B. They look good physically, but haven't been used for years. I am assuming that they will work and sound fine, but haven't taken the time to actually test them (though I will do so if anyone is interested).

These things sell for insane prices on Ebay. I'm guessing that $500 for the pair (with a reasonable inspection/return period if there are any problems) is fair, but I don't really know. If you need these, make an offer.

In other news, a pair of Strong "Junior-Hi" arc lamphouses "might" be available as well. One works fine (as of yesterday); the other is probably a "parts only" unit (the feed motor doesn't). These burn 6mm and 7mm carbons and were apparently originally intended for 16mm use. If anyone needs parts for these or wants to trade something equally useless for the whole lamphouses, let me know and we'll talk.

I'm looking to acquire (free or super-cheap) a pair of footpedals for picture changeover use. I suppose I could use a wall-mounted pushbutton, but the footpedals are more fun and I would prefer to go that route if I can get a pair cheaply.

Everything is FOB Providence, RI. Shipping can be arranged for the speakers, but probably not for the lamphouses (they're heavy).
