There have been some comments about seeing a "tint" in the B&W images. Some theatres did get true B&W silver-image prints. But others evidently are getting B&W prints made on color print film (2393). Color print film is optimized for color images, so a B&W image will tend to have slightly warm highlights and slightly cool shadows. Even a one printer light difference in color balance may give a slight tint to the overall B&W image:
http://www.cinematographer.com/article/mainv/0,,30961,00.html Labs usually have only one B&W (D-97) machine, with limited capacity. In the past, some labs have temporarily converted one or two high speed color print machines (ECP-2D) to B&W to handle large volume B&W release print orders.

BOOTH ALERT: The R1 > R2 changeover is a fadeout > smash cut in.John P: All the Manhattan theaters running The Man Who Wasn't There have "true B&W" prints AFAIK. This includes the AMC Empire, Loews Lincoln Square, Loews 34th Street and Loews Village VII.

Ours is also true B/W Print.
