Got my print now.

Not the sepecial edition print. I got an original print.
Head of reel 1 has an old BBFC X certificate rating card on it.

10 Reels
1.66:1
mono

If i said the film was splicy than that would be a gross under-statement.

There is an inspection sheet (very old looking i'll look for a date) stuck in the can of reel 1.
The print was veryfied as very poor.

The report sheet was from 1990.

I made the intermission at the end of reel 5. It is the end of the scene in which Michael shoots a guy in the restaurant. The second half begin with some newspaper headlines and Michael has gone to stay in sicily.

The film played ok. (Well i did have one break. but it was during the credits and the audience had just left phew )

Ran it 1.85 it was fine.

(NB: there is a thread in film handlers called "The Godfather Interval" discussing the interval)
