From the Poly Post:"Director Robert Rodriguez (“Desperado,” “Spy Kids”) shot his new movies “Once Upon a Time in Mexico” and “Spy Kids 2” using digital cameras. Rodriguez defended the digital video camera by saying filmmakers can manipulate the footage to achieve the look film has or has ever had and better, if the default look of the Sony digital 24 frame per second footage isn’t desirable."

Both of my prints had The Tuxedo spliced on. Both trailers were spliced on out of frame (one at the head of the trailer, the other at the tail) and both of them they had chopped out part of the analog soundtrack at the start of the feature.More great work from Technicolor.
